Charles and Andrew boom, Keith and Greg bust, and Mike makes Steve work hard for the #1 seed!
2025 PLAYOFF BRACKET
Keith and Greg stunk it up so much that there should only be a 3 team playoff, but that’s not how it works. Here’s our playoff bracket based on the final regular season standings:
Highest Team Score: Charles with 148.60
Lowest Team Score: Keith with 66.82
Highest Margin: Charles annihilated Keith with an 81.78 point differential
Narrowest Margin: Steve outlasted Mike by only a 4.1 point differential
Highest Individual Player Score: Bo Nix with 37.08 for Andy
MATCHUP BREAKDOWNS
Charles (148.60) absolutely demolished Keith (66.82)
In the final week of the season Charles pulled out all of the stops and had his highest score of the year. On the other end, Keith’s team continued to fade with his fourth straight loss and his lowest score of the entire season. The fact that Keith still ends up in the playoffs is an affront to the quality of the game, and possibly an affront to the will of our lord in heaven.
Charles had the highest scoring TE of the week with 34.6 points from Kyle Pitts
Josh Allen’s 30.52 points made up 45% of Keith’s total score this week
Charles had the highest scoring bench player this week with 31.52 points from Jared Goff
With his win Charles secures the number 2 seed in the playoffs, Keith still manages to make the playoffs despite the loss and 3 other teams that scored higher overall point totals on the season.
Steve (134.76) triumphed over Mike (130.66)
This is the only game this week that was close. It all came down to the wire on Monday night with Mike hoping for a big outing from DK Metcalf to overtake Steve and deny him the top playoff seed. Much like Mike’s brief period of wearing polo shirts with the collar popped, it just didn’t work out. He also ends the season with the second highest overall points scored, which is another twist of the knife. Steve gets the TFL equivalent of a bye-week as he faces Keith’s hopeless trash pile in the first round of the playoffs.
This matchup had the highest total combined score with 265.42 points between the two teams
This matchup had the highest points from starting WR duos, with a total of 70.2 points scored by WR1 and WR2 positions
Mike had the highest scoring RB and WR of the week with 29.1 points from James Cook, and 28.4 points from Amon-Ra St. Brown
This is the only matchup this week that could have been flipped with an optimal lineup for the losing team - Mike could have swapped Croskey-Merrit for Rice and he would have won by 6.4 points.
Andrew (111.56) defeated Billy (70.64)
Despite his team’s spiritual leader ruled out, Andrew still managed to beat Billy with Chubb ruled inactive and on his bench. Only that kind of veteran leadership can inspire even when not suited up for the game. Billy put in a great effort over the season and did his best, so Mr. Strathmann, we salute you!
Andrew had the highest scoring Kicker of the week with 24 points from Jason Myers
The combined score for flex players in this matchup was significantly lower than all other contests this week with only 16
Andrew’s victory gives him the number 3 seed in the playoffs, while the loss locks Billy into the regular season last place position
Patrick (133.60) destroyed Greg (80.02)
While it can never be as satisfying as notching a playoff clinching win, there’s sick and twisted joy that some people can get from ruining another team’s season. People that feel this kind of joy are called psychopaths, and our league has 10 of them. Today, Patrick gets to bask in the glory that he absolutely ass-jammed Greg at the last minute and ruined his playoff chances.
Patrick had the highest scoring Defense this week with 25.5 points from Chicago
Pat finished with the highest overall points above projection, with 49.44 points more than expected, a rare occurrence for someone that didn’t also have the highest score of the week
Pat also had the most disappointing player of the week based on projections, Jahmyr Gibbs scored 10.69 points less than the 16.49 points projected by Yahoo
This loss cut Greg out of the playoffs as he finished the season with the same overall record as Keith, but less total points scored on the season
Anthony (98.58) beat Andy (78.18)
In the Irrevelant Bowl II, there was no real winner. Anthony handily defeat Andy, but for two eliminated teams there’s not much to talk about here. Andy lost his 6th straight game, suggesting that maybe it was a double secret trick and he actually really doesn’t care about fantasy football after all.
This matchup had the lowest combined total score of the week with only 177.26 points between the two teams
Andy had the highest scoring player of this week with 37.08 points from Bo Nix, who made up 47.1% of his total score for the week
Anthony had the highest combined bench score this week with 93.8 points, while Andy had the lowest with 17.94
