Lowest Score: Billy with 63.46 points in the loss to Andrew.
Largest Margin of Victory: Andrew by 62.98 points over Billy
Smallest Margin of Victory: Steve by 12.96 points over Mike (
Top Individual Performer: Patrick Mahomes with 37.48 for Mike
Matchup 1: Keith (119.30) vs Charles (94.42)
The “Western Front” of TFL faced off with Texas and Arizona stirring up dust in a southwest showdown. The scoring was as spicy as the chili with both teams putting up a good showing, but ultimately Keith had locked it up by Sunday night.
- Derby’s Dawgs: Keith got a huge burst from Rico Dowdle with 29.90 points, over 2.5× his projection, his win was also bolstered by a great performance from Jaxon Smith-Njigba who put up 22.2 points
- One-Off Offense: Charles' Rashaad White was the lone positional star for his team, dropping 33.35 points (20+ over projection)
- Defensive Struggles: Both teams Defensive plays fizzled, with Buffalo underperforming with just 3 points for Charles and Green Bay disappointing Keith with only 6 points
Matchup 2: Anthony (129.64) vs Andy (85.18)
Andy couldn’t hold on to the top spot this week. Going up against Anthony’s rather consistent squad, Andy’s team shriveled up like a they had just gotten out of the pool on a cold autumn day. There was shrinkage!
- Steady As She Goes: Anthony had only one starter (Dallas Goedert, 17.00) exceed their projection by a wide margin, but the team’s RB and WRs were all above expected, giving him a steady rhythm of points and no reason to pull-out.
- Jaylen’s Bailin’: Andy suffered from underperformances from Jaylen Waddle and Jaylen Warren, big let downs from the “Team Jaylen” on for this squad.
- Big Drop: Despite remaining tied at the top with an overall record of 4-2, Andy’s lacking total points on the season hurts him enough do put him down in third place.
Matchup 3: Steve (122.24) vs Mike (109.28)
With two of the highest scoring teams in the league, this heavyweight battle didn’t disappoint. Going into the Monday night games it was a close matchup, but Steve managed to get the win and piss in Mike’s Iron City Beer (This had no impact on the taste of the beer).
- Can You Digg It?: Steve’s wide receiver Stefon Diggs had a 13-point gap below his projected output, a rare dud for the top receiver, but Steve was able to overcome this gap and still win handily.
- QB Choices: Drake Maye posted 33.24 for Mike from the bench, more than double the output of any starting RB or WR, but still less than his starting QB, Mahomes. Mike made the right choice with two great options
- Defense Drama: Las Vegas (12.14 points, more than 2× projection) gave Steve a much-needed anchor and was a margin-winning play.
Matchup 4: Andrew (126.44) vs Billy (63.46)
There’s not much to say about this week’s biggest blowout. Billy continues to struggle now at 0-6, but it was a great day for Andrew, who had one of his best performances of the season. At least Billy’s team died doing what it loved – Not scoring fantasy points.
- RB’s on Parade: Andrew had one of the best RB performances of the season with Jonathan Taylor (27.00), J.K. Dobbins (20.00), and Devin Achane (14.85) all massively outscoring their projects and crushing Billy’s dreams.
- Tight End Talk: Both sides were carrying injured tight ends, but the options they were able to start (Darren Waller, 7.20; Travis Kelce, 7.89) fared well.
- Defensive Disparity: Denver delivered a monster 19.50 points for Andrew, triple their projection and dwarfing the 3.5 points that Billy got from Cleveland
Matchup 5: Greg (104.14) vs Patrick (76.52)
Despite a few duds, Greg’s team provided enough solid performances to give him a decisive victory over Patrick’s squad. Maybe Pat should focus less on horses and his job, and more on fantasy football?
- Ouch!: Only Jalen Hurts (23.62) topped expectations among Patrick’s starters, while every other position either missed or barely met projections.
- Consistency is Key: Greg enjoyed a stable floor across the lineup, with six of seven non-defensive starters within 2-3 points of projection—no catastrophic whiffs, but not many surpluses either.
- TE Play: Greg’s TE Sam LaPorta (14.30 points) posted a TE advantage, outscoring Tucker Kraft (5.00) by nearly 10 points.
